Carl A. Sackey

Carl A. Sackey boasts a distinguished career spanning over 25 years in IT management and technical expertise, complemented by 20+ years of C-Suite experience. He is widely recognized as an international authority in IT Governance, specializing in Cyber Security, IT Risk, IT Audit, Data Privacy, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery Management. Moreover, he has a solid track record in Business Process Re-Engineering and Systems Analysis and Design, having spearheaded the design and implementation of intricate enterprise systems such as the Trade Facilitation and Revenue Mobilization Systems utilized by the Republic of Ghana.

At the forefront of Ghana’s digitalization initiatives, Carl played a pivotal role in various projects including the National Single Window rollout, automated real-time valuation system deployment, enhanced Customs Management System, and paperless port/trade systems under the auspices of the Office of the Vice President. He also contributed significantly to the Ghana Revenue Authority’s revenue administration transformation project.
An accredited trainer in CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, CISM, CDPSE, and a recognized trainer at the National Banking College, Carl has conducted training sessions for Board of Directors of Banks and Financial Institutions on IT Governance and Cyber Security. He has also provided guidance and mentoring to IT Security, IT Audit, Internal Audit, and IT Risk professionals across both the Private and Public Sectors, facilitating their certification attainment.

As a Board Member of the Cyber Security Authority of Ghana, Carl is deeply involved in shaping Ghana’s cyber security landscape. He also holds leadership positions as a founding member and Immediate Past President of ISACA, Accra Chapter.
Carl leads CS Consulting and Services Limited as its CEO and Lead Consultant, offering Advisory, Audit, and Maturity Assessments in IT Governance and Cloud Computing implementation. His firm specializes in IT Risk Assessment and Management, Business Continuity Planning, Business Impact Assessment, and Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), alongside comprehensive training in these domains.

Furthermore, Carl serves as a consultant for some international Donor Agencies, managing key projects in Ghana. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science from KNUST and obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the China Europe International Business School in 2012. Additionally, he holds a CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting (CIMA Adv Dip MA) and has completed a Post-Graduate Diploma with the University of Pretoria’s Gordons Institute of Business Science, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
